The Learning Curve is your library/learning resource centre - we need your help to find out what you like and don't like about it.

Make sure you fill out a comments slip and hand it back to the desk (it's all totally anonymous!). If you can't find the comments slip - just ask for one!

Ask a Librarian - online!

Need help with a question about library opening times, finding information or using online learning resources?
Now you can contact the Learning Resources team through the online catalogue.
Just log onto the catalogue and then click Ask a Librarian. Then type in your question. For example: Where will I find books on hairdressing?
Type in the barcode number on your matriculation card at the user ID then click Send. A member of the Learning Resources team will respond to your request.
To see our response log into the catalogue and click on My Account. Type in your barcode and PIN. Then click Review My Account then click Requests.
Not got a PIN no? – just bring your matriculation card to the enquiry desk and we will give you a number – remember, you can change this to another number if you want.

NB Ask a Librarian is available between 9.30am – 11.30am and 2.00pm – 4.30pm

Manage your library account online

Did you know that you can manage your library account online via the library catalogue to:
· See what you have on loan
· Renew your books online
· Ask us a question using the Ask a Librarian service…
...as well as being able to search to see:
· what we have in stock
· link to Online Library Resources such as our blog, subject guides, your Athens account and Moodle

To use your account you will need a PIN number.
Not got a PIN? – Just bring your matriculation card to the enquiry desk and we will give you a number. (You can change this to a number you will remember if you want.)

Book ahead for PC access!

It's that time of the block again.... Assignments are due, assessments are looming and everyone needs to use a PC.

Don't get caught out - take the chance to book a PC in advance!

You can book for 2 hour slots, up to 7 days in advance. To book your slots, ask staff at the Enquiry Desk or phone us on 0141 271 6240.
